WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT !
Dear Friends,
For 85 years, the Peñasco Theater has been a cultural heartbeat in our valley—a place where creativity, community, and possibility come together. This historic landmark, built by Amado Roybal in 1940 and lovingly stewarded by the Peñasco Theater Collective for the past 25 years, continues to serve as a vital creative hub for Northern New Mexico.
We need your help to keep the magic alive.
Each June, we welcome over 60 local youth and teens to our celebrated multidisciplinary summer arts workshop—a transformative experience that has touched thousands of young lives since 2000. Through aerial arts, stiltwalking, acrobatics, puppetry, visual arts, dance, devised theater, and more, we provide opportunities that simply don't exist elsewhere in our region.
For many of these young people, our summer program is their first chance to discover their creative voice, build confidence, and connect with professional teaching artists. We've watched shy children become bold performers, isolated teens find community, and entire families engage with the arts in ways they never imagined possible.
To make our June 2026 summer workshop happen, we need to raise $40,000.
This funding covers:
Professional teaching artist salaries
Teen teacher salaries
Materials and equipment for multidisciplinary workshops
Scholarships ensuring access for all families, regardless of income
Safety equipment and insurance
Facility costs and program coordination
Your tax-deductible donation—whether $50, $500, or $5,000—directly impacts young lives in our community. Every contribution brings us closer to our goal and ensures that another generation discovers the transformative power of creative expression.
